Nkumba University Alumni Association to Elect New President

Nkumba University Alumni Association is organizing a re-union for old students of  Nkumba University during which a new Alumni Executive Committee will be elected.

Mr. Kabuuza Mukasa, the President Nkumba University Alumni Association says voting will be done during Nkumba Day scheduled for Saturday September 23, 2017.

“One of the main activities of the day will be the election of a new Alumni Executive Committee, whose first order of business will be to consider and pass a new Constitution that will govern us as Alumni in the endeavor to support our Alma Mater”, he says.

Prior to the election, the Alumni together with other guests and friends of Nkumba University will participate in a fundraising session aimed at raising Ushs. 500 million for the construction of a perimeter fence around the Main Campus in Entebbe.

He says the day shall begin with a band-led match from Entebbe Leisure Park in Kitoro, through Kitubulu, Abayita-Ababiri, and then into the Main Campus. The match  will commence at 8:00 a.m.

“Come let us have a re-union, celebrate and support our Alma Mater, Nkumba University”, the Current President says .

Mr.Kabuusa says membership to Nkumba University Alumni Association is open to those who attended Nkumba Kindergarten, Primary, Junior Secondary and Nkumba College of Commerce and Advanced Studies.

Nkumba University is one of the oldest private chartered universities in Uganda.
