Nigeria highlife singer and songwriter Adekunle Gold on Friday morning, July 15, arrived in Uganda ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated Club Dome concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Adekunle Gold will headline the show that will also feature performances from Amapiano star Costa Titch from South Africa who arrived in the country on Thursday, July 14.
‘AG Baby’ as Adekunle is also known, rose to fame in 2015 with the hit single Sade and has gone on to find further success with hits like Sinner, It Is What It Is, and Something Different.
He released his latest single 5 Star just minutes before touching down in Uganda.
After the worldwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic that put a halt on social events, the campus-themed Club Dome returns for its sixth iteration.
Joel Galla, the Club brand manager at Nile Breweries, who received Adekunle Gold at Entebbe Airport, expressed his excitement about Saturday’s show.
“We are excited to have Adekunle Gold in Kampala and can’t wait for him to perform,” Galla said.
