Ndejje University to re-open on 5th January 2015 after students' strike that led to closure.

Ndejje university that closed  on 20th November after a students’ strike has announced that normal academic business will resume on 5th January 2015.

According to the resolutions made by Ndejje University Governing Council that sat on Thursday, 27th November 2014, students are meant to pay 50,000/= for re-admission and Shillings 177,850 for replacement of vandalized items before one is accepted back.
The document issued by the academic registrar of Ndejje university contains a number of tough rules that include the following;
  • Every student must be accompanied by his / her parent / guardian / sponsor before filling in the Re-Admission Form that costs 50,000/=.
  • The unwritten Semester I, 2014/15 examinations shall begin on Thursday, 8 January 2015; the Time – Table will be ready on reporting.
  • Every student must report and be ready for the examinations only after clearance of all Semester I University dues; and must have paid (in the bank) Ug. Shs. 177,850/=, the cost for repair / replacement of the vandalized items on 20 November 2014.
  • On reporting, a student must present bank slips showing payment of Ug. Shs. 177,850/= and Ug. Shs. 50,000/= for the Re-application Form.
  • No student shall be re-admitted unless he/she has fulfilled the above items,
  • Semester II, 2014 / 15 shall begin on Saturday, 24 January 2015 (for Week-end) and Tuesday, 27 January 2015 (for Day and Evening programmes).
