Ndejje University Graduates 1,067 at 26th Ceremony, Urged to Be Innovators

Ndejje University held its 26th graduation ceremony on October 11, 2024, at the main campus in Luwero, where 1,067 students were awarded degrees and diplomas. The event, officiated by Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technology, Dr. Monica Musenero, emphasized the university’s mission to produce innovative, God-fearing graduates ready to transform society.

The theme for this year’s graduation, “Bearing Fruits that Abide,” drawn from John 15:16, reflected Ndejje’s Christian values and its commitment to producing graduates who positively impact their communities. Dr. Musenero encouraged graduates to be agile, self-driven, and to create lasting impacts in their fields. “The workforce is looking for individuals who are productive and bring forth fruits that abide,” she said, urging the graduates to make contributions that have a lasting, generational impact.

Of the graduates, 40.6% were female and 59.4% male. Forty-four students earned first-class degrees, with Ms. Nagitta Brenda, a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) student, emerging as the overall best student with a CGPA of 4.79. The Faculty of Engineering contributed four first-class students to the tally.

Dr. Musenero also lauded Ndejje University for its role in fostering innovation, noting that its initiatives are essential for solving societal challenges. “Ndejje has been at the forefront of carrying out innovations that the country can benefit from, offering solutions to both present and future challenges,” she remarked.

The ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including members of the university’s Board of Trustees, council, parents, and sponsors. Ndejje University reaffirmed its commitment to delivering holistic education and congratulated the graduates on their achievements.
