Seven students under the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) – Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) PhD program graduated with doctorates in several disciplines.
This was part of the graduation ceremony that took place at Mbarara University of Science and Technology on Saturday, 28th October 2017.
MUST and UTAMU developed a joint institutional capacity building programme initially focusing on PhD training by research, to respond to the need for PhD holders in Uganda.
Since the collaboration was developed in 2013, nine (9) have graduated and four (4) have submitted dissertations and waiting for external supervisors’ report.
The joint PhD programme covers areas of science, computing, economics, business administration, management, public administration and development studies.
