Makerere University Guild Presidential campaigns have attracted eight contestants. The electoral Chairperson, Akankwasa Allan said the successful candidates are Oketta Boniface of NRM, Anna Adeke representing FDC, Okello Caucus from UPC among others.
Akankasa said voting will be on 5th March and told the candidates to campaign within the normal working hours and should not go beyond 10PM.
Each candidate is now trying to win students’ support through persuasive speeches on rallies organized within the campus promises.
“We have no mercy for those who torture, oppress and harass the sons and daughters of the poor and as a matter of fact, we shall stand strong to affirm our position on all exploitative policies in this university”, Anna Adeke warns.
