Makerere University Business School(MUBS) hosts Kampala University on Wednesday 13th March at Nakawa in group C match day three of the Pepsi University Football League.
MUBS are on top of the table with four points from two games and will be looking at maintaining their position, their coach Charles Ayiekoh says he is happy with how the team is performing so far.
“This season we are doing much better than last season and we simply need to maintain the momentum, we have been training hard and the players are better prepared for the games and are working harder,” Ayiekoh told this website.
Kampala University are second on the table with two points and are yet to find their goal scoring boots this season.
The Ggaba based University head coach Vincent Tumusiime claims that his side’s lack of goals should be a burden on the whole team not just the strikers.
“Football has changed, in modern football everyone can score and so the responsibility is on everyone not just the strikers,” Tumusiime said.
“The whole team needs to attack in unison and when an opportunity comes whether you are midfielder or defender you take the chance or assist,” he added.
A win for MUBS will help them maintain the group’s top spot with seven points while a win for Kampala University will see the surpass the former to the top of the group with five points.
Both teams have won the competition twice and are looking to make it a record three this season but will first have to make it out of their group
The other two in the group are  Uganda Christian University (UCU) and International University of East Africa (IUEA) who are still struggling to make it out of the group.
