Mourinho set to spend his remaining career time at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese enjoyed a successful first campaign at the helm at Old Trafford.
Three pieces of silverware alongside a return to Champions League football proved a productive start to life in Manchester.

Having signed a three-year deal with an option for a further 12 months last summer, Mourinho has already indicated his willingness to extend his contract.
The 54-year-old’s longest stint at any club in his managerial career so far, though, has only been a little over three years – his first spell at Chelsea.

At Manchester United , however, ex-Real Madrid boss Mourinho is projecting a long-term future, having secured his dream job.

Jose Mourinho is in it for the long run at Manchester United…
While emulating Sir Alex Ferguson’s achievements at the club is a tough ask,
Jose Mourinho is determined to remain for the long haul.
“I am ready for this,” Mourinho told ESPN FC.
“I am ready for the next 15 [years], I would say. Here? Yes, why not?
“I have to admit that it is very difficult because of the pressure around our jobs, everybody putting pressure on managers and things that people say – that we have to win, but in reality only one can win and every year it is getting more difficult.

“But what I try to do in the club is show that my work goes further than the football results, that it goes to areas that people don’t think of as a manager’s job.

“In my vision, my job is much more than what I do on the pitch and the results that my team gets at the weekend.

“This club, for so many years, was Sir Alex. People got used to it; people understood the great consequences of that stability.

“After David [Moyes] and Mr. [Louis] Van Gaal, I come to my second year and hopefully I can stay and give that stability that the club wants. “I will try, but again, I will have to try to deserve that, but that’s what I try every day that I work.”

Jose Mourinho still wants Manchester United to sign two new players this transfer window.
The United boss confirmed he has discussed the over-inflated transfer market with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

United have brought in Benfica defender Victor Lindelof and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku this summer while work goes on behind the scenes to bring in more fresh blood.

Mourinho said: “My plan for the team, for the evolution of the team in this second transfer window for me – because the transfer window of last December we didn’t use that – I told you that my plan was to get four players, to give balance to the team in all the different areas.

“To make a better squad, but with the development of the market, you know, I was getting the feedback from Mr Woodward, I was analysing myself from distance because I never get involved.
“But from distance, it is easy to feel that I repeat the same, the market is very difficult.
“If the club has no chance to give me the four players, then (so) be it. I like my group, I like my players and I go with them. “But I still have the hope I can have a third player, who knows a fourth but at least a third.”
