JOB DETAILS:
The mission of the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is to strengthen health systems in Africa, with a strong emphasis on infectious diseases through research and capacity development. IDI has six operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment, Global Health Security, Training, Research, Laboratory services (including the CAPcertified IDI Core Lab) and Outreach.
Job Title : Mobilization Assistant, E- AMAKA (1 Position)
Vacancy Code : MAX01
Classification : Full time
Reporting : Mobilization Officer, Expanded AMAKA project
Duty Station : Kagadi Hospital (KAGADI DISTRICT).


Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the implementation of the demand creation plan for SMC services.
• Adopt the existing MOH SMC mobilization strategy to suit the assigned catchment
• area.
• Liaise with other stakeholders as assigned in creating demand for SMC.


Educational requirements
• Diploma or Certificate in mass communication, social work, education, psychology and
• related fields.
• Two years working experience
• Experience of working in a medical setting and some understanding of HIV/AIDS is an added advantage.


Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
• Good communication skills
• Ability for team work
• Ability to communicate with clients in local language is added advantage
