Margaret Aceng – Gulu university Dean of students dead

Shock has gripped the community of Gulu University and Catholic community about the untimely death of the beloved dean of students, Rev Sr. Margaret Aceng.

Sr. Margaret Aceng, passed away yesterday morning at Arua where she had gone on a mission.

It is sad that death robbed Gulu University of her loving and motherly services at a time she is needed most.

Report has it that she succumbed to cerebral emboli occluding blood supply to her brain and instantly dying of stroke (hypoxic -ischemic ) just like in pulmonary embolism,

The body of the late Rev. Sir. has been received at St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor  for postmortem and further treatments by the university Doctor and other university officials . Then after, it will be taken to the convent in Lacor.

Monday has been declared as a mourning day for our dear Rev. Sr, this then calls off all the lectures of Monday and all Guild activities have been infinitely suspended, and all arrangements underway yet to lay her body to rest.

Burial is expected to take place on Monday 22nd September after a prayer service at Gulu Cathedral Church.
