Making Love: The 7 habits of highly effective lovers (Part 2)

As promised, Part 2 of the 7 habits of highly effective lovers has come upon us. Just in case you missed part 1click here otherwise let us jump straight into the fray.

  1. Think win-win

Now many times when those we love refuse to click our vibe, we often get hurt. Some of us even cry. But why should we? It’s not that the world is going to come to an end because some girl said no when you tried approaching or some boy is too slow to as the lawyers will say take judicial notice of your coy blushes.

So there’s no reason why you should sit there and mourn. You surely deserve better than that. Whether she says yes or  no, and whether he takes judicial notice of the blushing or he doesn’t. The truth is there is nothing to lose but everything to win. So stop being a loser and just become the winner you’re supposed to be. Just step out and be happy no matter what he/she feels about you.

  1. Seek first to understand, then to be understood.

For the guys, before you purport to be in love with a woman, please first find out what her needs are. Don’t just jump from the blue and claim to be head over heels in love with somebody’s daughter. Okay, we agree she makes you feel a mango like you said when making your confessions but who are you? We even liked the fact that you called it a mango but we need to know from whence you emerged and how you came in. Who even gave you permission to get in? That’s how people get mistaken for being thugs and are clobbered to death. Besides, before you came in who told you that she was in need of what you are bringing on the table. What if her aspiration was to emulate our brother Paul and Jesus Christ the lord of the gospel Paul so passionately preached, to live a celibate life. Anyway, the girl may just be stupid enough to believe you and do you know what that means? It means she will be stuck with you the silly little brat who lacks purpose and direction in life. So, on that note, we support the girl’s decision to treat your pleas for a place in her heart with all the possible disdain.

  1. Synergize

The truth of the matter is that in life and not just in these matters of love, we always have to work with other people. For instance you one of my readers has a girlfriend and obviously she wants you to write her a sweet poem. She may not tell you but she actually does. So what will you do when you’re not as talented as Musumba Zak in using written verse to express emotion? The thing is simple become Musumba Zak’s friend, ask him to help you write the poem on your behalf and go recite it for her. But please remember to acknowledge the source. Just saying.

Similarly, the day Musumba Zak wants to compose a song for his Mukiga girl, he may have to solicit for Bebe Cool’s help. It’s the way it works.

  1. Sharpening the saw.

Finally, you should continuously seek to be better at our game and adapt more appealing ways of impressing your loved ones or else you’ll lose relevance and get chucked just like that. In other words you should always read Musumba Zak’s tips on love. Yes, it’s what sharpening the saw means.
