Makerere University to Construct New Halls of Residence for Female Students

Makerere University  administration   is undergoing negotiations to borrow 220 billion Uganda shilling to construct new three halls of residence for female student.

This due to the increasing numbers of female student at the university and the challenges faced in hostels most especially the fresher.

Currently, there are three    halls of residence available at the campus which cannot accommodate the increase numbers female students.

Female halls at Makerere University,

  1. Mary Stuart Hall
  2. CCE Hall
  3. Africa Hall

This information was address by the vice-chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe while he spoke to the media recently.

The project requires USD 60 million, this will involves   renovating the existing halls at Makerere university .
