Makerere University Student killed: Kidnapped & Raped by an unknown assailant.

Mirembe Desire is dead

Friends and family of Desire Mirembe, a first year student at Makerere University are in shock after details of her death emerged.

Apparently, Desire left for the famous Phaneroo in Jinja on Friday. Friends state that she was picked up by an unknown man from her Akamwesi hostel in Wandegeya.

However, she has been missing since thus fostering a search by friends and family members.

Social media platforms especially WhatsApp and Twitter where used with the hashtag #FindDesire.

The campaign seemed fruitless as the same friends posted on how her body had been found.

She had been Raped and later her body dumped in a plantation in Lugazi-Kakira.

It’s understood that her parents identified her body at Kawolo hospital stating that they last heard from her on Friday.

Mirembe was pursuing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Speech and Language at Makerere university

May her soul rest in peace.
