Makerere University and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency on Monday launched an exhibition in which students showcase research and innovations.
The event which will end on Friday April 12, 2019 is sponsored by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) in partnership with Makerere as part of the Makerere-Sweden Bilateral Research Programme Annual Planning Meeting.
Among the innovations showcased was value addition on fish and meat to make products like sausages and smashed tinned fish, products from leather and others from the Africa Institute for Strategic Services and Development (AFRISA), CoVAB.
In the field of Research, Makerere University Center for Health and Population Research (MUCHAP) presented their recent research findings on population and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) risk factors survey carried out in Iganga and Mayuge Districts.
Other exhibitors included College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), College of Health Science (CHS), College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB) and Center for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC).
