Makerere will host its 7oth graduation ceremony from 14th to 17th January 2020. However, just two days to the D-day, students have not yet received their gowns.
A statement from the University Vice Chancellor prof. Barnabas Nawangwe that was posted on the Makerere Facebook page blames the delay to the in-competencies of the suppliers.
“Dear Gallant Makerereans, the Official Supplier of gowns for students graduating next week informed Management at the last minute that he was experiencing challenges supplying all graduation gowns on time. His actions are a breach of contract,” the Facebook message read.
However, the post received a backlash from the public holding the loopholes in university administration accountable for all the disorganization.
