Ranked fifth best university in Africa, Makerere University (Mak) will be holding its 70th graduation ceremony from 14th January to 17th January 2020 at Makerere University Graduation Grounds.
The ceremony is split into four phrases which will run for four days starting on January 14th at 8:00 am to January 17th at 1:00 pm 2020
Thousands students shall be awarded with undergraduates, postgraduates’, degrees and diplomas in various academic courses offered at the university
The Academic Registrar, Makerere University informed all Graduands ,that every first degree graduand must pay Ug.Shs 208,000/= for Ugandans/East Africans and US$ 130, plus Ug.Shs 98,000/= for Internationals as Convocation, Graduation, Transcript and Certificate fees before he/she can be allowed to graduate.
This fee should be paid in Banks, Stanbic Bank branches i.e. Makerere University or Wandegeya, DFCU Bank, Centenary Bank, Post Bank and United Bank of Africa, Makerere University.
Postgraduate Students who undertook their first degree course at Makerere University need not pay for Convocation.
PhD graduands are required to pay a Cylinder fee of Ug.Shs 50,000/= in addition to other fees.
