A lecturer at the Makerere University is allegedly accused of defiling his housemaid aged 17. Police identified the lecturer as Deus Ngabirano, an assistant registrar in the school of Graduate Studies at Makerere.

The maid reported the case at Kiira Road Police Station last week accusing Dues of defiling her several times. The accused was arrested and later released on bond as investigations by Police into the case continue.

The Police said the file has been forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal consultation.
