Government sponsorship admissions
The Public Universities Joint Admissions Board recently released the list of students admitted on government sponsorship scheme.
About 3, 000 students were admitted to the public universities. The government funds a total of 4,000 students every year.
Schools from Kampala District dominated the list with 320 students. Wakiso had 300 students and Mukono 107.
The released list only covers direct, merit-based admissions. Another list of students to be admitted on district quota-based system is yet to be out.
