Makerere University Freshers to print own admission letters

Every student whose application has been accepted for admission Makerere University will be required to print out their own provisional admission.

Makerere  has admitted a maximum of 19,700 on the private entry scheme for the academic year 2019/2020.

Therefore, to cut on the printing expenses, the University has requested all new students to pay for a copy of their provisional and will only receive official admission letters after tuition payments have been made.

According to the Makerere University deputy registrar in-charge of admission, Mr Charles Ssentongo Makerere admits tens of thousands students each academic year and printing for is very expensive.

“Students will print their provisional admission letters next week. They will use this to find out the requirements and after paying their tuition, that is when we will provide them with the official admission letters,” Mr Ssentongo said.

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University on on June 11, 2019 released the list of students admitted under the Private Direct Entry Scheme.
