Makerere University Doctoral Convention 2017

PhD fellows at Makerere University Kampala (Pf@Mak) is organizing a Doctoral Convention 2017 due on 23rd November 2017.

This year’s theme is “Translating Knowledge into Policy and Practice”

Sub-themes:
  • Health and health systems
  • Agriculture and natural resources
  • Governance, economic and social change
  • Science and technological advancement
  • Education, Poverty and Behaviour change

The goal of this Doctoral Convention is to bring together the PhD fellows of this great University to interact, share the research areas, critique concepts, and proposals or research done in the areas that relate to translating Knowledge into Policy and practice.

This Doctoral Convention includes a research forum where doctoral students will discuss their research concepts, proposals, pilot research findings and dissertation research manuscripts and Papers with each other and renowned researchers. This will be done through oral presentations and posters followed by a discussion on the presenters work.

Conference registration Deadline: 22/11/2017

Preferred method of presentation: oral or poster presentation

Please note that all oral presentations will be by Power Point.

Notification of the selected presenters: 15th November 2017.
