Makerere University Cut-off Points for Private Sponsorship Admissions for Academic Year 2019/2020

In this article we show you the Cut off points for private sponsorship admissions at Makerere university for the academic year 2019/2020 as approved by the office of academic registrar.

According to the document released by the academic registrar, Bachelor of Laws (Day) had the highest cut of points. One must have got 57.0 points to be admitted while Bachelor of Laws (Evening) was at 52.0.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Day) was at 47.6 while Bachelor of Architecture (Day) was at 46.5 points.

The cut off points for Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering (Day) stood at 44.8, Bachelor of Science in Computer engineering was at 37.8.

For one to qualify for admission for Bachelor of Journalism and Communication, he /she must have obtained 44.7 (Day) and 42.1 (Evening)

Other courses with high cut off points included B. Dental Surgery (Day) at 40.8, B. of Optometry (Day) at 40.0, Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Day) with 39.6.

Some of the courses at Makerere university with the lowest cut-off points for the academic year 2019/2020 included the following:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Day) at Jinja & Mubs campuses with 09.8 while the same course on evening program was at 08.4 points.
  • Bachelor of Business Statistics (Day) at MUBS – 12.4 points.
