Makerere University and the French embassy to Hold Kampala Geopolitics Conference

Makerere university, in partnership with the French embassy, is to host the Kampala Geopolitics Conference which will  take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October 2018.
This resolution was reached in a memorandum of Understanding signed between the  University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, and the French ambassador, H.E Stéphanie Rivoal on Wednesday 25th July 2018

The  two-days Conference is aimed at engaging Ugandan, French, Germany researchers, staff, students regional experts in interactive debates. Additionally, it will act as a platform for networking, dialogue and exchange  ideas cutting across contemporary, local and international Geopolitics.

The MOU specifies that the  will provide a platform for building strong networks of expertise from France, Germany and Africa as well as free flow of ideas and open discussions in a creative yet informative way; contributing to the generation of knowledge.

The Kampala Geopolitics conference will commence on Friday 26th October 2018 from 09:00am to 5:15pm and thereafter a Concert at the Makerere University Freedom Square from 5:30pm to 08:00pm shall follow

The participants will present their ideas for discussion using the most convenient formats on formal round tables and in an open space.
