MAKERERE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT'S HOSTEL

MAKERERE INTERNATIONAL HOSTEL

As we saunter along Kimera road, a rather elongated inscription shrouding a storey structure whose exterior wall is clothed in a beautified arrangement of red half bricks attracts our attention. This inscription is clearly placed on a whitish painting at the beam area in distinct sky blue captions. MAKERERE INTERNATIONAL HOSTEL….it reads.

Our arrival at the facility meets a courteous reception of an ageing gentleman with an air of respectable fatherly looks shinning in a pair of sizeable spectacles. Mr. Wilson JB. Mulebeke is the chairman Management board of Makerere International Hostels LTD and this facility is part of the wider investment plan started about a decade ago as Makerere International Students Hostel (MISH). Sitting at this facility is part of his busy schedule our meeting is therefore a “Grace of God”

This investment endeavor has mentored and produced many. This is a pure success story. The reason why the facility is has assumed the name Hall of residence outside Campus. The residents of this facility exercise self restraint that help to produce a quite productive life transitions, a thanks to Mulebeke’s fatherly attribute.

Culture and religion is one of the unique attributes of this hostel. The notice board bears a notices of holy mass and other religious invitations. The Muslim community is also active. According to Mulebeke, this helps to usher a remarkable degree of spiritual guidance.
