Makerere University College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) has acquired an agricultural tractor worth US$26,500 (approximately shs.98, 050,000).
The tractor was supplied by John Deere MAS CORPORATION Company Ltd (MASCOR ) with college resources.
It is a four wheel drive model 5075E with 75HP and can be attached ploughs, harrows, planters, bailers and forage harvesters among others.
On behalf of the suppliers Ms. Hellen Atuhaire and Mr. Lwanga Mande delivered the tractor at the Agricultural Research Institute Kabanyolo (MUARIK) on Tuesday October 2, 2018.
While receiving the equipment, the Principal CAES Prof. Bernard Bashaasha declared that the machine is the second tractor delivered by MASCOR.
