Sinopec International Petroleum Service Co. (Uganda) Limited (Sinopec Service Uganda) is a fully owned subsidiary of Sinopec Group, which ranks No. 2 in Global Fortune 500 in 2020. Sinopec Service Uganda is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.

Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred. The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors. Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Communicate with customs office, PAU and other government authorities as needed.
  • Provides procurement, logistical and administrative support to a team in the acquisition of a wide variety of goods and services.
  • Reviews, records and prioritizes purchasing requests and obtains additional information/documentation as required
  • Coordinate with transportation companies.
  • Follow up on transportation progress.
  • Update, maintain and submit relevant records to SCM.
  • Undertake micro local procurement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics Management, Business Administration (with a bias in Procurement);
  • Additional advancement in Procurement qualifications will be of an added advantage.
  • At least three years proven relevant experience in Procurement and Logistics Management in a reputable organisation.
  • Experience in managing purchases and suppliers in a busy Organisational setting.
  • Knowledge of public procurement procedures and stock management; Ability to read and understand technical specifications of procurement documents.
  • Ability to show engagement, sense of responsibility and integrity.
  • Good skilled at solving problems and you adopt a solution- and results-oriented approach.
