Job Title: Logistics Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guides the logistics function for assigned operations units; typically supports a single FOB of moderate size and complexity.
- Develops planning for logistical operations and provides support in tracking supplies and materials, and coordination of transportation functions, maintenance, and client services at the project level.
- Steers a team of Logistics Supervisors responsible for executing and monitoring logistics activities for various departments at the site level.
- Ensures records of Customer Orders, backorders, consignment inventory, import shipments and delivery details are maintained according to contractual obligations.
- Minimizes exposure to demurrage and detention of goods.
- Evaluates processes and procedures; develops and implements improvements to maximize efficiency and value to the customer.
- Performs all work safely in accordance with Fluor practices, actively participates in improving safety in the workplace, and if/when supervising others is responsible for their safety and safe work behaviors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must have completed High School or GED
- At least seven to nine years’ directly related experience is required.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Computer literacy and skills in MS Office Suite and other applicable software (MatMan, Maximo, etc) required.
- Extensive working knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards and practices of shipping, receiving and distribution of goods in the industry.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Past Military experience, and contractor on the battlefield experience is an added advantage
- Prior successful assignments in Africa and or with Department of State is preferred
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
