Lead Inspection Engineer Job – TotalEnergies

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To develop the inspection strategy for all the facilities encompassed within the project and prepare all inspection activities that will be implemented in this strategy of the project.
  • Support the Work Package Leaders with regards to Inspection issues and lead the Inspection commissioning activities.
  • Provide support during the startup and first year operation of the new installations and ensure seamless integration of Inspection engineering activities between the EPSCC contractor, the other Packages and Commissioning teams.
  • Ensure coaching of the personnel assigned to the Project for the Inspection discipline and follow their development.
  • Ensures timely integration of the future Inspection contractors during the construction / pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases of the Project.
  • Define the equipment integrity strategy and to define and propose actions to be implemented to apply the inspection strategy. After Management approval, to execute and follow up these actions.
  • Follow-up the detailed engineering activities to ensure that inspection requirements are taken into consideration.
  • Support to the Work Package Leaders to ensure conformity of the design to the Project specifications.
  • Participate to the preparation of the various Maintenance & Inspection contracts (including 3rd party certification) required for the production phase.
  • Prepare the future Inspection activities for the first oil in relation with the organization.
  • Follow the relationship with Certification authority.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including site experience.
  • Good knowledge of plant and equipment and maintenance systems.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance/inspection systems, practices and techniques Good knowledge of risk assessment principles and their application to inspection programmes.
  • Expertise in verification practices & systems.
