Kyambogo University Spreads Wings with 2 more Regional Learning Centers

Prof. Eli Katunguka Rwakishaya said that African Development Bank (ADB) for providing furniture to the University.

Kyambogo University has set up two learning centers in the Western and Eastern regions of Uganda in Bushenyi and Soroti districts respectively.

The centres are intended to provide space for more admissions for students to have an opportunity to pursue studies in one of the country’s prestigious University.

This comes as the University registers the highest number of admissions. In the 2019/2020 academic year, Kyambogo received 29,000 applications for an admission of the 42,000 students who qualified to join universities

Additionally, the University plans to open up three learning centers in the east, west, and northern Uganda. This will help to check on the increasing student population.

Prof. Eli Katunguka Rwakishaya, Kyambogo University Vice Chancellor revealed that the University is still searching for suitable  places to construct the centers.

Prof. Katunguka confirmed that as a University, they are still faced with several challenges including poor lighting systems which the Ministry of Education and Sports and Ministry of Finance are dealing with.
