Kyambogo University Guild Presidential campaigns heat up

Julius Okello is one of the 10 Kyambogo university Guild Presidential candidates 2014-15

Kyambogo university students will be voting their next guild president on Thursday 27th March.

Ten candidates are struggling for the Guild top seat.

A detailed analysis of Guild Presidential contestants at Kyambogo University according to one Okedi John.

IRUMBA VICTOR: He is not mature enough to reason with the university administrators. He may be used by the senate. However die hard FDC members are to vote him.MOE JOSEPH LOKINOMOE: He has so many questions to answer as an academic minister.More so the academic committee members are seriously campaigning against him. He began with a lot of support but it is now decreasing. However he has support from all the so-called hooligans of Kyambogo and some few intellectuals. He needs to learn how to answer questions precisely and chances are that he can still make it.
MUKAMA: He has no past queries. Some say he is too humble. He has support from faculty of science mainly.
OKELLO Julius: He looks to be the intellectual in the race using a lot of wisdom en maturity however his campaigning team needs to increase on the masses he moves with. His support is scattered in every corner of the University.
ROGERS: He looks to be the only intellectual in the race, he is using a lot of wisdom and maturity. He follows Okello . His support is scattered in every corner of the University and his course mates mainly.
NANCY:She is very good at speech. However, the NRM party that used to use money is also crying as well. So her chances of winning are minimal if students can not be convinced without money. The other strongest weakness is her party and old age.
APOLLO: He has moved almost in every room in Banda. But he is rallying on only support from Education Faculty but not all. He is also a threat though.
LAYOLA: She is participating.
Hussein. He is participating and perhaps trying to make a CV that she once contested as Guild President.
KUTEESA:  He seems to be looking for popularity.
