Kyambogo University Guild President arrested

Police have arrested the Guild President of Kyambogo university, Irumba Victor. Victor together with  Tumusime Derek, the NRM party president of Nkumba University, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Guild Vice president, Ojobile Augustine and over 10 other students from different  universities are now behib bars at the Central Police station (CPS).

They were arrested  over allegations of unlawful demonstration.

The arrested students were heading to the Ministry of Education to petition the Minister about the irregularities going on in Public Universities like the 10% tuition increase in Makerere university and issues relating to the students Loans scheme for students offering Arts.
