Makerere University students Guild leaders in conjunction with Kenyan and US Embassy together with the Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) are organizing a Solidarity march to commiserate the 148 lives of Students who perished at the wrath of Al-Shabaab terror group at MOI international College Campus – Garissa. The march shall take place this Thursday 9th April 2015.
According to the Guild information minister Davidson Ndyabahika, the march is intended to raise security awareness among University students and the country.
The event shall be kick off on Wednesday morning with prayers in the main hall and a vigil later on in the day.
The Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura is expected to involve himself in the march. Other University leaders are also expected to attend.
