Kampala’s Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura Vows to Take On Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba in 2026

Deputy Lord Mayor Nyanjura Doreen has come to hint on a possibility of appearing on the presidential ballot paper come 2026 to race out.

According to Nyajura, this will come to happen only if Gen Muhoozi decides to contest for the presidency adding that she feels fit and popular to defeat the 4-star General in an election.

“If Muhoozi is Standing for Presidency in 2026, I am contesting against him. My supporters (the Nyanjuraholics) have asked me to do this country a favor.” She tweeted

Nyanjura who has made a name for herself as a fearless opposition activist said this was a request from her supporters who asked her to do the country a favor by contesting for the topmost seat in the country.

Writings on the wall are more than clear that Gen Muhoozi is planning to succeed his father as president of Uganda just as it has happened in some of the African states, especially in West Africa.

The 4 star General has for long been expressing interest to take on after his father with recently tweeting that he would defeat the opposition in an election because the people of Uganda love him so much.
