Kampala International University find Rhythm

By Ivan Olupot

University League: KIU 4-1 UMU
KIU started their Easter weekend in the University league in style with a win over struggling Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Nsambya grounds.

Uganda Martyrs was beaten 4-1 by the ruthless KIU who also wanted to emulate what the Makerere starlets had done the previous week but all was in vain but good enough they walked away with their three points.

KIU’s goals were scored by Edson Nkahebwa, Fahad Muhamed, Bashir Babu, and Walter Egang all work done in the first half. KIU looked brilliant the whole of first half playing all the rosy and romantic football which excited their fans not until the down pour when every thing turned in favour of UMU who looked brilliant under the rain and managed to get a consolation goal in the 53rd minute by Benjamin Kisekka.

“It was a good game not until the rain’s disruption of our flair, It was our second and that was a good result and above all we got the points which may help us at the bliss point” Ssempa Kyobe KIU Coach said after the game.

Action continues Today with the Mighty Kampala University hosting the Supreme Makerere University at Villa Park.
