This is Kabaka Mutebi’s initiative that was started in 2011 to encourage his subjects exercise environmental friendly practices, and also lead others towards environmental conservation, art, and culture like Buganda was known for so many years of our ancestors. This program is supported by the Kabaka Foundation and it involves awarding of study scholarships to children/students with strong values and commitment to environmental conservation and community service at county level in all the 18 counties of Buganda Kingdom, and Kabaka Mutebi awards given to adults who excel within their counties. For any one to win this scholarship/award, he/she must have demonstrated ability to successfully mobilize people and provide leadership in environmental advocacy and community work
