The newly voted and approved Electoral Commission 2015-2016 team is tasked to organize the upcoming 2nd guild elections scheduled for November 2016 at Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU).
The commission is headed by Joshua Asiimwe.
The new student Electoral Commission was sworn-in and inducted on Tuesday, 13th October, 2015 at the university’s main campus in Bugolobi.
Members of UTAMU Guild Electoral Commission include:-
- Chairperson – Joshua Asiimwe
- Vice Chairperson –Jenkins E.L Twinomugisha
- Secretary – Arban Owomugisha
- Commissioner Of Finance – Trevor Nyakoojo
- Commissioner Public Relations – Ronah Amanyabyoona
- Commissioner Of Mobilization – Onesmus Atukunda
Speaking at the ceremony, Joshua Asiimwe, the new Chairperson of Electoral Commission urged his members to ensure there is unity among themselves so that they conduct a free and fair election.
“As the former Chairperson, I urge you to deliver what you are meant to deliver and what they expect from you,” he said.
The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by the University Academic Registrar, Dr. Rehema Baguma and the Senior Public Relation Officer Ms. Rebecca Pearl Tumwebaze.
