Job Title: Revenue Accountant
Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), set up under the investment Code 1991 is a statutory agency mandated to initiate and support measures that enhance investment in Uganda and to advise Government on appropriate policies conducive for investment promotion and growth.
Job Summary:
The Revenue Accountant will primarily be responsible for monitoring of accounts payable and receivable in conformity with the UIA financial policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the proper coding and reconciliation of all individual client accounts.
- Identify and resolve all discrepancies identified in revenue reconciliations.
- Create, review and maintain monthly client invoices.
- Monitoring, collecting and resolving accounts receivable aging items.
- Assist in the processing of daily cash receipts, as necessary.
- Prepare timely monthly revenue reports
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in the field of Accounting.
- At least two years’ experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good working knowledge of accounting packages
