Job Title: Programme Officer
Number of Vacancies: Five (5)
Reports to: Programme Manager
Terms: Three Year Contract

Job Purpose:
• To facilitate the implementation of the YLP at the Regional Level with key stakeholders.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Initiate, plan, coordinate field appraisal exercises
ii. Provide technical and administrative support to the programme activities.
iii. Coordinate the participation of key Stakeholders in YLP activities.
iv. Compile and submit periodic performance reports on the YLP in the Region
v. Liaises with relevant sector ministries where specific sector policies are required.
vi. Monitor the performance of project and ensure timely production of performance reports.
vii. Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Programme Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Applicants must be Ugandans possessing the following:-

i. An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities / Social Sciences/Business Administration from a recognized University.
ii. A Master’s Degree in any of the above fields.
iii. At least five (5) years of relevant experience in a livelihoods/ skills development / Management field. Three of which should have been served at Officer level.
iv. He /she should be computer literate and conversant with the rapid appraisal methods / techniques
v. Must be self-motivated and willing to work in any part of Uganda.

Competencies: Report writing; Team work, Planning, organising and coordinating, networking, mobilization, communication skills, Ethics and Integrity.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Philimon Badagawa.

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
