Job Title: Personal Assistant (PA) to the Transport Manager
Pan Afric Impex Transport Division, is a market leader in large scale transportation and logistics in Uganda and the East African region. Since 2006 they have increased the fleet of Scania trucks from 50 to over 160 with routes to DRC, South Sudan, Rwanda and Kenya.
Job Summary:
The Personal Assistant (PA) will be responsible for secretarial support to the division. You need to be highly organized and structured and will be responsible for organizing events, field trips, minute taking, filing and archiving etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administratively support the filing/ archiving in the office.
- Assist the Transport Manager: organizing events, field trips, minute taking, etc.
- Work closely with the Transport Manager and other senior managers to identify, plan and project logistical requirements within approved budgets, policies and procedures.
- Ensure availability of support staff, maintenance, cleaning and security of the country office
- Responsible for managing databases and external handling correspondences intended for the Transport Manager.
- Responsible for diary management; scheduling appointments, confirming schedule and handling regrets when necessary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The PA should hold a relevant degree.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position; preferably in a similar industry.
- Possess the ability to maintain confidentiality.
