JOBS: Human Resources Associate at One Acre Fund

Job Title Human Resources Associate
Job Summary: The One Acre Fund Human Resources Associate will take lead of the Human Resources function and help us build our HR department at One Acre Fund Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Support Recruitment – Support, and in some cases manage, the hiring process for all new team members, in close collaboration with department heads, which includes disseminating job descriptions, application screenings, and assisting with telephonic and in-person interview processes
·         Manage Onboarding – Managing general onboarding and orientation for all newly-hired staff
·         Establish HR Policies – Review and update current HR policies and procedures in the employee handbook; Ensure that all new and current policies are in line with legal requirements
·         Record Keeping – Maintain relevant and up-to-date employee data, including promotions and disciplinary action; Install proper paperwork and filing system
·         Manage Payroll – Monitor staff salaries and administer monthly payments
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         The ideal candidate should hold a Secondary school education required, university-level degree in a relevant field preferred
·         Possess excellent computer skills, proficient in typing, and familiar with MS Office Suite
·         Possess excellent communication skills, can read/write/speak English & Luganda fluently, Lusoga a plus.
·         Strong work ethic, detail oriented and passionate about advancing their career
·         Keen interest in and commitment to working in development to help serve Uganda’s smallholder farmers
