About US:
Fundi Bots’ mission is to accelerate science learning in Africa. To achieve this, we use practical learning tools like robot-building to improve learning outcomes. Through the process of building robots, the students get practical skills in computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, computer programming and soft skills like project management, teamwork and innovation. As a result of this process, the students understand their science curriculum better, are prepared better for future technology oriented careers and they are empowered to be innovative community change-makers.
Job Summary: The Teaching Associates (teachers) will oversee and manage the teaching, training and curriculum development aspects of our Primary and Secondary School program. The teachers’ primary role will be to prepare, deliver and evaluate the lessons within our training center (Fundi Space) and within the schools that we work with. Our core training areas (from primary to senior school levels) are: electronics, computer programming and mechanical systems. Our core science curriculum subjects are Physics, Maths and Chemistry. Fundi Bots works with two age groups; Primary Schools (6-12 years old) and Secondary Schools (12-18 years old) and we require several Primary School and Secondary School Teaching Associates.
