Job Title: Credit Analyst

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively review and critically analyze all SME/Corporate and Trade finance credit applications for accuracy, completeness and compliance with policy; asses credit risk and recommend to the respective credit committees in line with policy.
  • Monitor the growth and quality of SME/Corporate loans, on a monthly basis and recommend remedial actions to management in accordance to credit policy.
  • Follow-up disbursement documents with the branches and legal division to ensure credit approvals under their respective branches are timely disbursed.
  • Actively participate in business growth and contribute towards the attainment of the division’s targets in line with the division’s work plan and bank’s policy.
  • Identify training needs and participate in the training of credit officers in line with the credit policy.
  • Compiling and sending the departmental credit reports in line with the credit policy.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the Credit Analyst vacancy should possess an honours’ University degree in a business management related field or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in commercial lending with excellent credit underwriting skills
  • Past exposure and experience as Commercial Loan Officer in a financial institution is an added advantage
  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • Highly proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
