Job Title: SGBV Counselor (2 Career Jobs)

Job Summary: The SGBV Counselor will guarantee the overall quality of case management and psychosocial support including referrals for GBV survivors. He/she will ensure local community partners are trained and continuing mentoring of partners specifically related to supporting GBV survivors and communities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct field visits to assess program quality, establish and monitor GBV referral system to provide assistance
- Identify vulnerabilities and ensure follow-up on specific cases.
- Identify, document and follow up on GBV survivors
- Monitor activities of community-based GBV networks, and provide capacity building and support to such networks.
- Provide direct psychosocial support to GBV survivors utilizing case management documents.
- Assist in training and mentoring of local community partners and community members in GBV response and prevention, SASA including case management
- Documentation of GBV cases, provision of psychosocial support, maintenance of case files, advocacy with service providers, referrals, and case follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided to partners and write timely reports as required by the project (using GBV IMS)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The SGBV Counselor should possess a good university degree in Social Sciences, Community Psychology, and/or Social Work
- At least three years’ experience in GBV issues with an INGO
- Possess a certificate in Counseling Direct counseling experience
Extensive understanding of GBV issues - Fluency in Kiswahili and Kinyarwanda
- The applicant must have motorbike riding experience and a valid license to this cause
