The Uganda Aviation School (UAS), the school of aviation excellence in the East African region, has new exciting career opportunities open for East Africans.

• Taking lead of a team of Commercial managers in creating a UAS sales and marketing strategy within a framework agreed by the Director, which creates and delivers shareholder value.
• Explaining UAS commercial strategy to key stakeholders and ensuring that it drives operational management in Marketing Department.
• Meeting and/or exceeding business performance targets in areas return on investment, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Using relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate managerial action to ensure that all targets are met or exceeded.
• Representing and promoting UAS commercial interests in national or international forums

• The applicant should hold a good Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Professional CIMA or equivalent qualification is a pre-requisite for a successful applicant
• Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• At least four years’ experience in senior management position
• Professional Certification in Aviation will be advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Proven leadership ability
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to recognize trends and opportunities and plan/execute action to exploit business opportunities
• Possess the ability to present compelling business cases for major investment
• Past exposure and experience working with and managing relationships with external agencies and 3rd party agencies
• Exhibit personal commitment to meet and exceed set targets
• Ability to understand the needs of staff and to apply best practice people management techniques to ensure a motivated and productive workforce.
