Job Title: Engagement Officer

Job Summary: The ACCA Engagement Officer will be responsible for supporting business development activities to enhance customer engagement with an aim to increase new student recruitment, conversion, as well as overall customer retention and satisfaction. This role will provide administrative support for member and student engagement activities and other stakeholders as determined by the Head of ACCA Uganda. The role will also provide high level relationship management and customer service in line with ACCA’s commitment to “Fit for the Customer”
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the customer retention activity
  • Provision of first class service to all ACCA clients through a range of relevant communication channels to communicate and build positive relationships with customers
  • Manage the marketing activities, branding of all ACCA events and Media activities
  • Maintain and update a database of all stakeholders including members, students, employers, Higher Education Institutes to support the business development teams in their engagements.
  • Administer social media updates and content management.
  • Take lead in the support and management for stakeholder events
  • Supervise local production for all branded promotional material as well as advertising collateral and manage inventory for all branded material for the Uganda office
  • Prepare statistical reports to analyse data from client interactions and key activities
  • Offer individual and group career counselling and presentations as required.
  • Develop and maintain a database of speakers for key interest topics for the country events, ensuring that post event evaluations reports are prepared
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the aforementioned ACCA job opportunity should hold a university business degree with a Marketing option or Mass communications degree
  • Working knowledge of Relationship Management and Customer service principles and approach, events management, business presentation and general management
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining external relationships and generating client leads
  • Proven experience of gathering and analyzing client data and producing reports around this (essential)
  • Past experience of working in a customer/client focused business (essential)
  • Previous experience in event management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience in designing and delivering presentations
  • Demonstrate pro-activeness and good problem solving ability
  • The applicant must also be highly ethical, accountable and responsible
  • Positive, motivated with “can-do” attitude
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient in MS applications e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel / Power point.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task, work independently and as. part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel within Uganda and occasionally need to work extra hours /during weekends

Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
