Over 40 job opportunities. Nakawa Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) is one of the Public Vocational Training Institutes directly operated and administered by the Ministry of Education & Sports (MoES) through the BTVET Department.

The institute provides vocational training skills to school leavers and apprentices in enterprises and to upgrade and assess competencies of industrial workers.

This is to notify all suitably qualified persons that their several job opportunities at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute.

The available jobs include:

CATEGORY A : INSTRUCTORS
• Electronics (3 positions)
• Motor Vehicle (3 positions)
• Auto Electrical & Electronics (3 positions)
• Building and Concrete Practice (2 positions)
• Welding and Fabrication (4 positions)
• Wood working (3 positions)

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure efficient and effective transfer of knowledge and skills to learners / course participants
KEY DUTIES:
1. To plan, prepare, and organize instructional materials. (Scheme of Work, Lesson Plan )
2. To conduct tutorials and practical training according to the set standard and training schedules.
3. To supervise workshop activities and enforce safety measures (5s) / discipline amongst trainee
4. To administer continuous assessment exercises and end of term examinations
5. To keep and maintain class records
6. To participate in all institute activities including attend general staff, panel and Department meetings
7. To provide guidance and counselling to staff and trainees under His / Her supervision
8. To participate in extra co-curricular activities and community activities9. To participate in applied research activities, innovation and self drive professional growth
10. To conduct any duties related to the profession

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
1. Degree / Higher Diploma in the relevant technical field mentioned above
2. CVTI,CTTE,DVTI
3. Computer application
4. Committed to delivering at the highest standard and meeting the needs of a diverse range of learners, always
striving to demonstrate excellence in Training delivery and Learning
5. Age Limits: 25 ~ 35 Years

CATEGORY B: NON INSTRUCTING / TEACHING STAFF
• Assistant Human Resource Officer (1position) (Degree in HRM)
• ICT Instructor (Computer applications, Networks and Hardware) – Higher Diploma
• PRO (1 position) Degree in Public Relations
• Personal Secretary (1position) (Higher Diploma in Secretarial & Administrative Studies)
• Security Guards (2 females / 4 males) (“O” Level )
• Head Cook (1position) (Diploma in Hotel & Institutional Catering)
• Cooks (4 positions) (Certificate in Cookery)
• Caterer (2 positions) (Diploma / Certificate in Catering)
• IT Technician (1position) (HD in IT or CE)
• Stores Assistants ( Diploma in Stores Management-9 Positions)
• Assistant Warden (1position) (Diploma in Hospitality & Management)
• Estates Manager (1 position) (Diploma )
• Plumber (1position) (Diploma / Advance certificate)
• Driver (1position) should posses a class DH permit, age 35 ++
