10 Jobs in Masindi. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill vacant posts currently available in Masindi District Local Government and Masindi Municipal Council as specified below.

The application forms are obtainable from Public Service Commission office, 2nd Floor, Farmers House, Parliament Avenue Kampala, Ministry/ Department and District Service Commission offices. Applicants should attach three sets of certified Photocopies of their academic certificates, slips and other relevant documents plus 3 recent passport size photographs. Original document should not be sent at this stage.

The applications must bear the title of the post applied for as well as the reference number Specified against the vacancy Applicants already in service should route their applications through their heads of departments who must be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.

NB: All those already in service and in the same scale of the advertised posts must not apply.

DEPARTMENT: Natural Resources

Post: District Natural Resources Officer (1 Post)

Age Limit: 30 years and above.

Salary scale: U1E

Person Specifications:

– An Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in either Forestry, wet Lands

Management, Environmental studies, Land Management or any other relevant Science Degree plus a post graduate Qualification in management studies from a reorganized institution

Working Experience

– At least 9 years working experience 3 of which should have been served at a principal level in a natural resources management environment

DEPARTMENT: INTERNAL AUDIT

Post: District Internal Auditor/Principal Internal Auditor (1 Post)

Age Limit: 30 years and above.

Person Specifications:EITHER: Honors Bachelors degree in Accounting or Auditing, from a reorganized university or institution plus full professional qualifications in Accounting or Auditing from a recognized awarding Institution

OR: Full professional Qualifications in Accounting or Auditing from a recognized awarding Institution plus a minimum of a post graduate Diploma in Financial Management or Auditing or Business Administration

Working Experience:

– At least six (6) years working Experience thee (3) of which should have been served at a level of Senior Internal Auditor in a public or reputable organization

DEPARTMENT: Production and Marketing

Post: Veterinary Officer (1 Post)

Age Limit: 21 years and above.

– Should have Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized university/institutionPosts that exist in Masindi Municipal Council

DEPARTMENT: Health

Post: Senior Clinical Officer (1 Post)

Age Limit: 21 years and above.

Salary scale: U4

Person Specifications:

– Must have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.

– Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.

– Must have a valid Annual Practicing License(APL)

Working Experience: Must have served for at least three (3) years as a clinical officer in Government or a reputable organization.

Post: Enrolled Midwife (4 Posts)

Salary scale: U7

Person Specifications:

– Must have an Enrolled Midwifery Certificate from a recognized Institution

– Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council

– Must have a valid practicing License

Post: Enrolled Nurse (1 Post)

Age Limit: 20 years and above.

Person Specifications

– Must have an Enrolled Nursing Certificate from a recognized Institution;

– Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council.- Must have a valid practicing License.

DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION

Post : Pool Stenographer (1 Post )

Age Limit: 21 years and above.

Person Specifications

– Ordinary level Certificate with at least 2 credits including English language and three (3) passes.

– UNEB Certificate or Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized awarding institution with the following subjects;

I. Business communication Stage II

II. Type writing Stage II (40 wpm)

III. Short hand I (60/70 wpm)

IV. Office practice II/secretarial Duties II

The following will be an added advantage:

I. Principles of Accounts Stage II, Economics II or commerce II

II. Computer skills using several packages like spreadsheets and data base management.

III. Knowledge of using various office machines like fax, photocopiers and audio equipment.
