Job Title: Senior Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation and Research
The mission of the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is to build capacity of health systems in Africa with strong emphasis on infectious diseases through research, and capacity development. IDI has five operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training, Research and Laboratory services (provided through a partnership with the Makerere University-John Hopkins University Core Lab) and Outreach. IDI invites applications for the following full-time positions for upcoming US government (USAID) sponsored projects for delivery of services for HIV/AIDS and related health conditions.
Job Summary: The Senior Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation and Research will be in charge of the monitoring, evaluation and research components of this cooperative agreement. S/he will be responsible for the design and implementation of the projects’ strategic information and learning functions. S/he shall also develop monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) systems that include appropriate indicators, baseline data, targets and a plan to evaluate performance and produce timely accurate and complete reporting.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline
