1. Job Title: Part-time Pharmacist opportunities
Directorate: Medical Services
Reports to: Director of Medical Services
Job Summary:
The position holder will give technical oversight as a specialist for the provision of Pharmaceutical Services on behalf of Mildmay Uganda; to ensure improved quality and reliable service delivery to clients and communities served by Mildmay Uganda so as to contribute to the achievement of its strategic objectives.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy with post graduate qualification in pharmaceutical logistics management. He/she must have at least 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical services; knowledge and experience in drug Logistics and supply chain management and HIV and AIDS care.
2. Job Title: Learning and Development Officer
Directorate: Finance and Operations
Reports to: Human Resource Manager
Job Summary:
The position holder will be responsible for effective delivery of the overall Learning and Development strategy through analysis of staff development needs as well as designing, creating and delivering solutions across the organisation at every level. S/he will also take charge of implementing and monitoring the organisation’s Performance Management System for achievement of the organisation’s goals and objectives.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management; Industrial and Organisational Psychology or Social Sciences with Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource
Management. Successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in HR practice following post graduate qualification with specific experience in managing staff
learning, development and training function.
3. Job Title: Grants Monitoring Officer
Directorate:
Sustainability and Partnerships
Reports to: Directors Sustainability and Partnerships
Job Summary:
The position holder will be responsible for developing M&E plans and systems for new Mildmay Uganda grants and business initiatives and ensure effective
project monitoring and reporting
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Economics or Statistics with a Masters Degree in Public Health, Population studies, Development studies or Social Work. S/he must have post graduate training in Monitoring and Evaluation. Successful candidate will have at least 5 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience 2 of which must be in writing high quality programme level reports.
Experience dealing with donor reporting is a requirement for this job.
4. Job Title: Research Officer
Directorate: Research and Strategic Information
Reports to: Research Manager
Job Summary:
The position holder will be responsible for collecting, organising, analysing and disseminating information using ethical methodologies in order to enhance the conduct and documentation of an ethical and sustainable Mildmay Uganda Research Programme that will inform policy, training and practice, for integrated prevention, care and treatment of HIV and other health priorities in the Resource Limited Settings.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree preferably in public health; statistics; population and reproductive health; or Social Sciences with specific training in research methodologies and research Ethics. S/he must have at least 3 years of Operations Research experience in relevant health programs with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of health research; implementation research and research grant writing. Skills in Abstract Writing are a requirement for this job.
5. Job Title: Project Officer – CSF Prevention Project
Directorate: Medical Services
Reports to: Project Coordinator – CSF Prevention Project
Job Summary:
The position holder will provide oversight for the day-to-day project activities ensuring timely planning, implementation and monitoring of the project activities. In addition the job holder will also support the scale up and access of comprehensive HIV prevention services to other Mildmay Uganda supported MARPs/key population projects and other prevention interventions to improve health outcomes and contribute to the reduction of new HIV infections.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognised university, with a post graduate diploma in Project Planning & Management. S/he must have at least 3 years’ experience in community health work. Knowledge of HIV prevention, care and treatment and experience in Uganda’s Health Sector /district health service delivery are a requirement for this job.
6. Job Title: Health Systems Strengthening- Training Coordinator
Directorate: Training and Education
Reports to: Consultancy Manager
Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for coordinating the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based training and mentorship
for managers (at district & facility level) and health care workers in the Mildmay Uganda supported districts, contributing to the strengthening of the health systems’ capacity to deliver quality, sustainable care and support for people living with HIV and other emerging health issues.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree in Health or Social Care with a current practicing license with relevant professional body. S/ he must have at least 3 years’ teaching experience with demonstrable understanding of mentorship. He/she must have knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS care as well as knowledge of Ministry of Health systems and district service delivery mechanisms.
Ability to network and liaise with various partners is a requirement for this job.
