Job Title: SMC Nurse Counsellor (3 Job Vacancies)
The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) headquartered at Mulago hospital, is a comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment organization that supports the treatment and care of HIV infected and affected Children and Adults. Baylor – Uganda has four operational areas; HIV/AIDS care, treatment and prevention services, maternal child health services, Health Professional training and Clinical Research. Baylor-Uganda is in receipt of UNICEF and PEPFAR grant through CDC.
Job Summary: The SMC Nurses Counsellor will offer technical support in SMC client mobilization, HCT, pre and Post circumcision surgery counseling services to SMC clients.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The candidate should hold a Diploma in Nursing (Double Train) or equivalent from a recognized institution with any certificate in counselling and must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and midwifes council
- A minimum of two years’ experience in clinic or hospital-based services.
- Prior exposure and experience in SMC, HIV/ AIDS and ART is an added advantage.
