Job Title: News Anchors – English (2 Vacancies)
Africa Broadcasting (U) Limited owns and operates NTV the number one TV station in Uganda.  We are a subsidiary of the Nation Media Group, which is East & Central Africa’s largest multi-media group.
Job Summary: The English Male News Anchors will present NTV’s most captivating, objective and comprehensive English news bulletins on Television in a concise and precise manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Deliver powerful newscasts and conduct live interviews on television
  • Interview while filing live reports
  • Stay abreast with the latest trends in current national and international events making news
  • Generate and gather news stories/features from the field
  • Determine interesting stories that are newsworthy and ensure their accuracy and that they fit within the programming time and space allotments
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The applicant must hold a University degree
  • Proficiency and fluency in English language with a well-controlled voice
  • Possess a superb voice intonation, diction and articulate vocals
  • Possess a strong, reflective and captivating personality
  • Possess the ability to engage, educate and entertain an audience
  • Ability to work long and odd hours in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to critically analyze news events
  • Capable of working irregular hours and put up with the pressure that comes with meeting deadlines
  • Have a keen eye for detail, thoroughness and be meticulous
